Driven is proud to support Heart of Australia

Heart of Australia is a program that specifically aims to help Australians whose lives are threatened, just because they happen to live in a remote community. 'The Heart Truck' delivers fortnightly specialist medical investigation and treatment clinics to regional, rural and remote areas across regional Queensland. The customised road train is a specialist medical clinic-on-wheels. It has travelled more than 72,000km in its first year on the road, covering an area of more than 450,000 square kilometres.

Driven are very proud to support this fantastic initiative. A large percentage of our team grew up in regional Queensland - Gatton, Roma, Toowoomba, Cairns and Wallumbilla will all benefit hugely from this service. We look forward to working with Rolf, Dina and the Heart of Australia team to evolve the story and assist with strategy, branding, collateral and audio visual.

Driven wins a couple of Bronze at the 2016 BADC Awards.

Big thanks to our wonderful clients – Mine Wealth + Wellbeing and Lawcadia for putting your trust in us to create and work on your brands. Both brand identity projects won a Brisbane Art Directors and Design Club Bronze award in the Communication Design: Brand Identity Suite category. We entered four projects in the awards this year, so to get two bronze is something our whole team is very proud of. Both of these projects were a pleasure to work on. A fully collaborative approach was taken and the results really speak for themselves. To be acknowledged by your peers is also a great honour so thanks to all those at BADC - we are definitely going to book a table next year!

"Our Motherland" - Winner of 'The Pitch' on Gruen

Driven were recently invited to enter "The Pitch" on Episode 5 of the ABC's show on advertising - Gruen. What a week for the team.

The brief was to convince the Australian public that we should have an all female parliament. Our idea was to align the trust we have with our mothers and women in our lives, with the running of our country - the motherland. We didn't really have any expectations for our 'Pitch' spot, we were just humbled and excited to be involved.

Big thanks to Sophie, Adam, Hayley, Ani, Todd and all the team. Such a memorable experience - well done everyone!

Read about our concept and approach here.

The Rally Kit has launched!

banner_01_Old.jpg

The team are proud to announce the launch of our latest web project for Tennis Queensland. The Participation Team approached us with an idea to create a resource centre for the clubs of Queensland to access support, information and advice on managing leagues for their clubs.

The Rally Kit was born! It has everything clubs need to reinvigorate and assist their tennis leagues. They can use it to create a new league specific to their club’s needs, or enhance an already established league. A plain old resource centre this is not - our team came up with an engaging, unique and fun way for clubs to answer a quick questionnaire to reveal the relevant league information for their particular club.

Thanks to Matt and Tennis Queensland team for being such a fantastic client throughout the process.

6 Biggest Year in Review Videos of 2015

It’s the time of year for reflection and celebration, and some of the biggest names in social and entertainment have been putting together their end of year video reviews. Human tragedy dominated much of the social conversation this year, but thankfully there were also some stories of triumph and, of course, #TheDress.

A bronze and a finalist at the 2015 BADC Awards

Pioneer-corn04.jpg

The BADC Awards were held a couple of weeks back and the Driven team are proud to announce an award and a finalist for 2015. Our 'Precious Harvest' TV spot for Dupont Pioneer won a bronze in the Regional Television category. Big thanks to our fantastic client Chloe and the talented team at Taxi – Bish, Lav & Mike.

Our second accolade was a finalist for our Farrier identity created for Condon Pub Group. All in all a great result for our growing agency.

Unfortunately we couldn't make the awards night this year but it must have been a big one – our bronze trophy still hasn't made it home! Rumour has it he was in line at Queen Street Mall Hungry Jacks at 2am. The police haven't taken our missing persons report seriously so could everyone please keep an eye out – we want him home safe and sound.

All the way from Bristol UK

A big welcome to our new team member Jordan Neenan, who has made the pilgramige all the way from Bristol UK to the sunny streets of Brisbane. Jordan is an experienced front end developer who has always been fascinated by all aspects of technology and digital design. He has a good grounding in a broad range of web technologies, usability principles and design methodologies. His skills range from HTML5, JQuery, Wordpress, CSS, PHP, responsive design and Bootstrap. One slight concern is that he needed to rig up a fan at his desk to battle a 28 degree mid-August heatwave. Might need a bigger one come Christmas Jordan.

A visit to Wagga Wagga with Pioneer

Ben our Managing Director recently travelled to Wagga Wagga for the 2015 Pioneer Canola Technology Showcase. The event was a chance for Pioneer to present the latest in hybrid seed technology while also educating growers on the issues the Australian canola industry will face over the coming years. At present, Canada is leading the way in canola yield and production and rest of the world needs to quickly catch up. The "Close the Gap" campaign developed by Pioneer and created by Driven aims to inform, improve and promote hybrid Australian canola seed and educate growers on best practices for higher yields, in turn closing the yield gap on our overseas competitors. The freezing wet weather was the only dampener of the trip. Ben should have packed his gumboots - his RM's will never be the same.

The worlds largest professional network

Our last post highlighted the significance of social media in the online marketing environment. Consumers are now turning more frequently to various types of social media to conduct their purchasing decisions (Mangold & Faulds 2009). So what does this mean for your business? Maybe that you have to constantly update and maintain several different websites to ensure your repeat business? Hopefully not.

Now many individuals and businesses are using social networking service, LinkedIn to manage their professional online profile. LinkedIn is the world’s largest professional network on the Internet and one of the most effective ways to manage your online presence on a single website (www.linkedin.com). LinkedIn gives users the ability to access people, jobs, news, updates and insights to ensure an individual or business can perform at their most optimum level. With over 300 million members worldwide, it is clear that LinkedIn is a popular choice in the professional online world.

Even though in the era of social media, marketing managers’ control over content, timing and frequency of information is being eroded, sites like LinkedIn open doors to new ways of appealing to consumers. Since social media is perceived by consumers as a more trustworthy source of information (Mangold et al. 2009), LinkedIn delivers information in a social media-type format. For example, users can ‘like’ and ‘congratulate’ others’ updates and new employments. Elements such as this give users and consumers a ,ore personalised experience in a professional environment.

In a very socially driven work the use of social media in business promotion is becoming quite unavoidable. A website like LinkedIn will give you the control you need when it comes to social interactions with your customers and the promotion of your business.
